Q&A With Our New Email Marketing Specialist, Pip Savaris

The team at Expose is expanding. Last week you met Chelsey, now we are excited to introduce you to our latest recruit… Pip! Pip is our brand new Email Marketing Specialist. Born and raised in Brisbane, this go-getter comes to us with a whole lot of knowledge on how to write a catchy email and where to find a great bowl of pasta. Pip is the queen of flowcharts, WIP’s and to-do lists - which we all need more of!

There is something truly special about Pip and her energy is contagious, so spending 5 minutes asking her some questions was a ball of fun. Read our Q&A below to discover why we are swooning over this new addition to the work fam.

Q: Ok first of all - is Pip short for something?

A: Yes! My full name is Pierina - random I know but I’m Italian! I’m named after my great aunt, I think.

Q: What’s your favourite thing about Brisbane?

A: I love Brisbane! It’s 100% the best of both worlds. Super comfortable and easy to do everything. Relaxed, amazing weather and our dining and entertainment scene is growing like crazy. Big favourite for weekends is definitely Howard Smith Wharves though.

Q: How has your experience been joining the Expose family?

A: It’s been amazing! I absolutely love everything about Expose! Everyone is so lovely and welcoming.

Q: As an Email Marketing Specialist, what are some of your top three tips for writing an email that will get opened by the receiver?

A: An attractive subject line is KEY, personalisation always (e.g. including first name tags) and keep it short and sweet unless it’s an information email! And also remember spam checks!

Q: What’s your favourite part of curating email marketing campaigns?

I think a lot of people don’t realise how valuable great email campaigns are! They generate a lot of revenue and are such a great way to communicate specifically with targeted audiences. My favourite part is seeing the results of campaigns that I create directly; it’s exciting to see how well campaigns can perform. I also love it though because it encompasses a mix of creative, digital and web design strategies and I love to be involved in a bit of everything!

Q: What do your weekends generally involve?

A: My weekends at the moment are full of apartment inspections, hanging out with friends, trying new bars and restaurants, reading, podcasts, watering my plant babies and prepping for the week ahead!

Q: If you were the office DJ, what playlist would you put on?

A: Being in the upstairs part of the Expose Office, I do get to be DJ some days, so it’s all Tame Impala, Kaytranada, James Blake, 070 Shake, Glass Animals and a bit of Kanye of course.

Q: What would your last meal choice and beverage be?

A: Fish Tacos and a Tommy’s Margarita for sure!
