Q&A with our new Marketing Assistant, Tanya Sinclair

We are so excited to welcome our second Marketing Assistant, Tanya, to the Expose family! Tanya comes to Expose with a Bachelor of Business from the University of Sunshine Coast where she majored in marketing and minored in social media.

Tanya has completed a marketing internship with the USC Lightning Netball events team as well as having worked alongside small businesses on the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane North assisting them with their social media activities.

We spent a few minutes catching up with Tanya to get to know her.

Read our Q&A below to discover why we are so excited to have Tanya on the team!

What are you most excited to learn about in digital marketing?

I’m excited to be able to build the bridge between what I learnt while studying and apply that knowledge in real situations. I’d say one of the things I’m most excited about learning more about though would be Facebook Ads or Google because I’m not hugely familiar with them.

What drew you to applying for this position at Expose Media?

There were a couple of things that drew me to this position. During my studies, I was always drawn to the digital side of things, which is what initially drew me to Expose. Once reading the job description and looking into the company more, I loved the culture and working environment, as well as the opportunity for personal growth. It seemed like the ideal workplace for a recent graduate.

Favourite things to do on Friday nights?

My favourite things to do on a Friday night would be to see my friends/family or hang out with my partner and our puppy. Whether that is sitting at home watching the football or having fish and chips down at the foreshore. There is never a dull moment around those two!

Go to travel destination?

My go to travel destination domestically would have to be Melbourne or if I was going international probably New Zealand. One place I haven’t been but would like to go would be Japan!

If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life what would it be?

I would have to say sushi and my family could probably vouch for that. I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of it.

Office DJ - what are we putting on?

My playlist is such a mixture- it could go from old school R&B to country to something else. You just never know what song is going to come on. Though I would say at the moment I’m listening to slower songs… think acoustic cove c rs/country/Jack Johnson.

Favourite thing about Expose so far?

The people! Everyone has been so kind and welcoming. The vibe in the office is relaxed and fun and everyone gets along so well. I can already tell it’s a great place to work.
