The job.

Rice Furniture is a growing furniture chain that showcases a range of furniture styles that are unique, exceptional and authentic. They have four stores across Brisbane and the Gold Coast and looking to expand into the future. When they came to us they were doing sporadic social media posts internally, and running an eCommerce website where the true function wasn't being utilised, and was built on a confusing platform.

The brief

They needed a partner to help them move the business forward digitally - as well as to maintain and enhance the print marketing, all from a retail perspective.

We pitched for their business as a one stop shop for what they required over a staging period. From July last year, we have managed all of their print including catalogues, press ads and store signage. In November, an edit to their logo was made, adding some refinement and losing the cliched 'brown'. In that same month, we launched their digital marketing strategy which included full control of social media and monthly campaigns including the photography, copywriting and more. We then took on the website rebuild in April this year, we which launched in June.

Online sales for Rice have increased by 40% since December. The website has only been active for one month, but they are already seeing more and more customers using the user portal.

Photoshoots.

In order to get the perfect images that were required for the digital marketing campaigns and website build, our team conducted several photoshoots at the client's various stores across Brisbane and the Gold Coast.

Website design.

The client's previous website was clunky and non responsive. The new streamlined design has a muted, unobtrusive colour pallet, that helps to enhance the vibrancy of the products showcased. It responds to any screen size - from 27" iMac to the smallest of smartphones!

Responsive.

The new site adapts to the size of any screen it is being viewed on. The unique design ensures users won't notice any difference in the site's general appearance on their screen.

eCommerce.

The Rice shopping cart utilises nopCommerce, the leading ASP.NET based open-source eCommerce platform.

nopCommerce is developed to take full advantage of the latest technologies available, ensuring the software is optimized for search engines, allowing the store to meet all search engine standards.

Store Front.

As part of the branding refresh the rice logo was updated - meaning all the stores got a facelift!

The decision was made for logo and store name to be laser cut from 10mm acrylic. This method created clean and precise lines and maximum impact, echoing the theme of simplicity.

Facebook marketing.

By utilising Facebook marketing, we were able to reach upwards of 870, 000 people with around 40% of them taking action.
